How did the Frisians live, where did the pirates live and why do dykes break? These and many other questions are answered entertainingly in the coastal museum located in a former factory hall by means of creatively illustrative material for viewing and other multimedia technology.
The Wattenmeer visitors centre, the nature experience centre for Jade Bay, presents the uniqueness of the „Wadden Sea“, a UNESCO natural heritage. This includes a 14-metre long sperm whale skeleton which, together with the unique presentation of the original whale organs, is a visitor magnet.
GERMAN NAVAL MUSEUM
Under the motto „People – Eras – Ships“, the Naval Museum presents the history of the German Navy from 1848 up to today vividly and in a modern way. A highlight of the open areal are the ships and boats, which may be boarded, such as the guided missile destroyer „Mölders“ or the submarine „U10“.

The oldest house for modern and present-day visual arts on the East Frisian peninsula has ensured a basic supply of culture to the northwest region for over 100 years. Presenting between four and six exhibitions a year, a comprehensive programme of events and cultural trips, the gallery is appreciated well beyond the regional borders.
The JadeWeserPort InfoCenter represents the visitors centre for the JadeWeserPort. Visitors of any age with the necessary interest can inform themselves in respect of port construction, port operation, container shipping and container transport etc. An interactive mixture of educational information and entertainment is provided.
